As a service or hospitality business are you ‘RE-OPENING’ or ‘RESETTING’?
I ask this because unlike anything else we may have experienced in any business previously, one of the major changes that has happened because of the pandemic is the fact that NOTHING is being driven by the market…it’s being driven by outside influences and has already changed consumers habits and choices forever…
✅ Safety
✅ Transparency
✅ Service
✅ Choice
The BIGGEST mistakes I believe that businesses have made in the pandemic is, as restrictions were lifted, were that owners just ‘re-opened’. They didn’t take the time to look at what they offered, how they offered it or when it could be offered.
A great example in the UK would be pubs and bars.
⚠️We spent nearly 20 weeks in lockdown and you’d been trained to stay at home and relax and enjoy a beer or two. You’re favourite pub re-opened and because they were upset at being locked down, reopened with the same beers, same food offering, un-banned people and gave the place a tidy.
⚠️But your second favourite pub opened with a a new drinks menu to welcome people back, a new food offering wanting them to stay, kept they client standards and gave the place a lick of paint and a fresher look.
✅Which one would you go to?
Things have changed, and continue to evolve. You CAN”T do what you’ve always done…you have to do better.
You might be on the right road, but stand still long enough you’ll get run over…
❔❓So should you just ‘RE-OPEN’ or should you take the opportunity to ‘RESET’?❓❔
